Born in Tokyo where he began studying the violin at the age of six. He studied with SUMI Saburo and SAITO Hideo. At sixteen he won the Japan National Music Competition, Violin division.

Two years later won the Geneva International Music Competition. He studied with Rene Benedetti at the Paris Conservatoire for one year where he was awarded the First Prize. Subsequently he studied with Joseph Szigeti and was his assistant in Switzerland.

He has toured the world playing with the leading orchestras and conductors and at many international festivals including Gstaad with Lord Menuhin, Munich and Salzburg with Martha Argerich and Tokyo, Edinburgh, Berlin, etc.

He has recorded the entire works for violin of Schubert and the violin and orchestra works of Bruch as well as many of the famous violin concertos.

Mr. SOH is a professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London and honorary member; he also teaches in Tokyo. He has given master classes at the Liszt Academy in Budapest and in Florence.

He has been a member of the jury of many International Violin Competitions Sibelius, Kreisler, Szigeti, Geneva, Hanover and China etc.

He is a resident of London.
